Why Bernese…

Years ago I was looking through a dog book and saw a picture of a Bernese, I was smitten! This was late 70’s early 80’s and there were not many around to go see and meet. I went to a local dog show and met a lady there that gave me her card and I carried it in my purse for 10 years before I was able to get my own dog. That lady is Mary Alice Horstick-Eschweiler.

Claudia Buss gave me my first Bernese, Addie, in 1990 and I have been mesmerized by the breed every since. I have been fortunate enough to be able to work with and become friends with Ann & Mark Milligan. Their help & guidance have been instrumental in making me a good dog person!

I can’t see myself without a Bernese by my side.
